Coaching Services
I help people with issues of overwhelm: anxiety, burnout, stress, conflict, especially as it shows up for women in perimenopause and the menopause transition. My integrative and holistic approach will build a plan to help physical symptoms of stress, set boundaries to reduce burnout, reframe negative narratives, build assertive communication skills. Examining stressors through a feminist lens may help you realize it's not that you're irritABLE but that you are irritATED ... so you don't need to be less upset, instead you can ask for and expect more support.

If you...
keep on doing more and more without getting anywhere
used to love what you do but now you don't even like it
have a to-do list that feels like drowning
keep on having the same fight with the same person
...you need support and solutions

About
I'm Kate McCann
I got hooked on story-listening and problem-solving at a young age, tearing through as many Dick Francis and Robert B. Parker mysteries as I could get my hands on. I would watch talk shows like Oprah and even Jerry Springer and I would wonder, what happened?, what made this person so angry or upset? I had faith that any problem was a solveable mystery. And I learned, after being in different fundraising and alumni affairs jobs, that what I liked best about a work day was listening to someone's problem. Whether an alum or a colleague, if someone was upset, I wanted to sit down and hear what was going on so I could try to help.
I realized, I should go get a counseling degree! So I got my Masters in Counseling Psychology at Lesley University, then worked at a substance abuse agency, in community mental health services, in group private practice, and as an individual private practitioner -- working from home with the help of my little dog Champ
